A combination of missing parts, specialized knowledge, and age-related issues can sometimes lead to a dead end for even the most experienced professionals.

Here’s an honest look at why a repair shop might not always be able to save your vintage sewing machine. I always try to be upfront and honest with clients about repairs but sometimes the more you get into a machine, rhe more problems appear.

The Search for Unobtainable Parts

One of the biggest obstacles in vintage machine repair is the hunt for the right parts. I say its all about time, because you never know when others put parts or…

Putting the blame on a technician is like blaming a doctor for your antibiotics not working. You cant guarantee anything vintage or that something can be repaired. Im sorry you have had to deal with ignorant clients, I would never give a business a bad review unless it was something in thier control. I personally know how it can affect the whole system. It takes one or two bad reviews to loose a whole star but it takes over a dozen positive reviews to gain a star back.

Sew 4 Life's New Craft Space Coming Soon

They say that sewing and other creative outlets mends the soul. I've never seen a truer statement. Art is the perfect form of therapy on so many levels. I feel that is soothes the mind, body and the soul. Sew 4 Life's new adventure is adding fiber arts to our platform.

For most of us, well at least it is for me, it just creates a calming atmosphere. I could just get sucked into whatever craft that I am doing and carried away into a whole other world. The most basic of crafts can be pretty mindless and calming while others that are more intensive can still be therapeutic.

Starting at a very young age, I have always been into arts and crafts. I have been drawing, crafting and sewing as far as I can remember. My parents were always showing me different ways to use crafts as healthy outlets…
